This museum is decided to the priest, Father Damien Joseph De Veuster who worked with the Hansen's disease (leprosy) patients exiled to Kalaupapa on the island of Molokai. The museum, though small, is full of photographs, artifacts, memorabilia, and a 20 minute video on the life of Father Damien. Having contracted the disease himself and passing away, in 1995, he was declared blessed by Pope John Paul II.

You will see here beautiful art work by local Hawaiian painters, printmakers, woodworkers, jewelers, and other artisans. Oftentimes you will also be able to see a new creation is process as the gallery's artisans work right there in the gallery and talk to the visitors.
